今夜の満月は、今年最も大きく見えるスーパームーン。

こちら岩手沿岸部の夜空は少し雲がかかって、ぼんやりとしています。

それでも雨の予報はないので、期待して見守りたいと思います。

月は地球の周りを楕円軌道で回っていることから、大きく見えたり、

小さく見えたりすることがあります。

それではそんなスーパームーンがはっきりと顔を出すまでの間、何をしたら良いか。

「When the Moon Is Away（月が留守の夜）」

I love gazing at the moon. It’s not exactly a hobby,
and I have no desire to travel there.

Simply looking at it calms my heart.

 

When the moon is hidden, I don’t feel lonely.

I just think, “The moon is away tonight.”

 

When I was a child, both my parents worked.

Sometimes when I came home, my mother was there;
